In a study published in the magazine Psychology of Sport and Exercise2, investigates employed EEG to learn more about how the intelligence is affected by auditory stimuli during exercising. They asked participants to walk at their own pace on an outdoor move, either listening to music, a podcast, or no audio at all. By measuring their brainwaves as they stepped, the researchers discovered that those who listened to music suffered a 28% increase in enjoyment over those who had no audio and a 13% raise over those listening to a podcast. Study co-author Marcelo Bigliassi summarized it up with people saying, “We showed that music has the potential to increase beta beckons and derive a more positive emotional state. This is likely to be benefited upon during other forms of exercise and interpret a given activity more pleasurable.”
